SUBMISSION ENTRY FEES:
Professional - $105.00 per entry
Students - Free
Payment due at the time of registration in the online portal. Projects entered in multiple categories must pay a separate entry fee for each category entered.
What is "IDEA"?
IDEA stands for Interior Design Excellence Awards. The competition's purpose is to celebrate outstanding examples of designed interior spaces. It is in recognizing the work of our peers that we can promote public awareness of design excellence, elevating the interior design profession.
ELIGIBILITY
This event is intended to award recognition for interior design of exceptional quality. Individual practicing, IIDA Delta Regional Chapter Members (Professional, Associate, Student or with membership pending) may enter this competition. The submitting IIDA member is included in the team count and must have worked on the project. Submitting firms must practice in the states of Arkansas, Louisiana or Mississippi Chapter area. However, projects may be located outside of the Delta Regional Chapter area. Each entry must recognize all firms and individuals involved in the design process. It is the responsibility of the entrant to give proper creditfor joint ventures, firm name changes and former partnerships involvements. All entries must have been commissioned for compensation by clients with the authority and the intention to carry out the design. Winning projects from past IDEA Awards are not eligible for submission, however, projects previously submitted but not selected as winners may be re-submitted, provided they meet all other eligibility requirements. Projects may be submitted for more than one category, but must pay a separate fee for each category. Prior publication or entry in other competitions does not affect eligibility, except as previously noted. IIDA Delta Regional Chapter reserves the right to make a final decision on the eligibility and accepts no liability. Please verify that each entry meets the criteria outlined prior to submitting. Submitted projects must have been completed no earlier than January 1, 2022.
JUDGING CRITERIA
A panel of three Professional IIDA members from outside the Delta Regional Chapter will review entries and select winners based on established criteria. Judges have discretion over appropriate categories for project placement, and to recognize and award winners. Special recognition for incorporating sustainable design in to a project will be given at the judges' discretion. There are no guarantees awards will be given in all categories. Judges' decisions are final.
AWARD CATEGORIES
Projects will be submitted in one of the categories shown on the category list page. Judges will be provided the option to separate out submissions within each category by size/function, based on the number of submissions received with commonalities.

INSTRUCTIONS
Incomplete submittals will not be considered for judging.
IMPORTANT: The names of the entrant, any members of the design team, the project, or client/project location SHOULD NOT appear anywhere in the entry that is visible to judges. Only include where asked. The client's name may appear in the photography in the form of signage and/or logos. Entries not conforming to entry requirements will be disqualified.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Project Statement: In bulleted format, please supply the project statement/description. It is recommended that clear, short phrases by used to describe the design challenges, design solutions, and client objectives. Provide square footage of project and budget information.
Floor Plan(s): Provide floor plan(s).
Project Photos: Provide a minimum of three (3) images and a maximum of seventeen (17) images of your project. Check the "cover photo" checkmark for one of the images (this is found by clicking edit) so that this photo will be marked as your Feature Photo. The Feature Photo is considered the primary image from the project and should be submitted in high resolution (but no more than 10 MB). Photos should be uploaded in JPG/PNG format (300 dpi minimum). Each photo must include a brief description that you can type in the caption field by clicking "Edit".
Entry Forms: Please make sure to fill out all forms in the online portal completely. Be sure to submit all contact information in the preferred manner in which it will be published and recognized. Credit must be given to all contributing parties to the project. If chosen as a winner, the Design Firm Name is what will appear on the plaque / certificate.
PUBLICATION
IIDA reserves the right to publish any or all entries and photographs submitted by winning design teams. If project photography requires a release by the photographer to be published, please include with entry submission. IIDA is not responsible for securing releases. All entries and materials become property of IIDA and will not be returned.
